Twitter updates on your mobile in Egypt
The secret word is Twe2 now we can get back Twitter alerts via SMS in Egypt, just go to www.twe2.com & login with your Twitter login name & password, then you will have to choose your country from a list & put in your mobile phone no without the code no nor the 1st “0″ as an example “1033*****” for my phone no, then you will receive a message with activation code to insert & that’s it now you can receive your Twitter alerts via SMS in Egypt with the limit of 10 SMS in hour!!, the way is tested & working so good.

Two quick questions:

The service sends the @ replies and the direct messages, not all the tweets. Still, twitter must be the main microblogging tool for now since it can be called now the Official micro-blogging service across the world.
I tried joining the sms twitter thing but, after putting in all details, got a screen message saying I could go ahead and finish the process if I wanted “But we will never send you an sms”.
So I gave up.
I use it only on the net. Perhaps one of these days this service will get to Zimbabwe. Perhaps. South Africa have it, I think, and it will only be matter of time.
Wish I could read Arabic, your other posts look fascinating.
